Polaris Debuts 2016 HighLifter ATV and SxS Lineup

Sportsman XP 1000

When you’re serious about playing in the mud on an ATV, the Sportsman 1000 HighLifter Edition is the machine you turn to. At the heart of this mud monster is Polaris’ tried and true 85HP ProStar twin-cylinder engine that provides plenty of power and torque to rocket ahead of the competition in the race pit, or churning through a nasty swamp. The engine is mated to a tough CV transmission that feature a high and ultra-low gear ratio specifically designed for mud riding and turning the massive 29.5″ HighLifter Outlaw II tires mounted on 14″ cast aluminum wheels. Turning the bars with that tire/wheel package is made easier through the use of the factory Electronic Power Steering.
This ATV also features sleek Stealth Black body work covered in HighLifter Edition graphics that are accented by orange powder coated high-clearance dual A-arms and high-mounted front and rear bumpers. The front bumper features a factory installed 3500lb winch with synthetic rope and integrated tow hooks. Just like its little brother, the Sportsman 850, this model also gets the shielded snorkeled clutch and engine ducting and rack mounted radiator system. Although this unit comes with a hefty price tag, $13,999, you get what you pay for and would invest yourself if you did it all piece by piece on a standard unit.
